  ACTION GUIDE: JUNE 2006

In our Action/Advocacy role, the League is nonpartisan but we use our positions to advocate for or against particular policies in the public interest.

The League is recommending a "YES" vote on Proposition 81 (Library Bonds) and is taking no position on Proposition 82 (Tax for Public Preschool) in the June 6, 2006 election.

*See our detailed analysis of Yes on Proposition 81 (Library Bonds) including background, proposal, fiscal effect, a list of supporters and opponents, resources for more information, a sample letter to the editor, and a flyer.

We are neutral on Proposition 82; that is, we are not taking a stand either for or against that proposition. Read why we made the decision to be neutral.

For nonpartisan analyses of all propositions, see the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund publications Easy Voter Guide and In Depth.
