In our Voters Service role, we present unbiased, nonpartisan information about elections, the voting process, and issues on the ballot.

PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY - Feb 5, 2008

Thu, Nov. 29 Presidential Candidates/Delegations Certified
Fri, Dec. 7 Overseas citizens or military can apply for special absentee ballot
Mon, Jan. 7 First day to apply for absentee voter ballot by mail
Tue, Jan. 15 Last day for state to mail Voter Pamphlet
Tue, Jan. 15 Last day for candidates to file for write-in
Tue, Jan. 22 Last day to register to vote (for Feb. 5)
Mon, Jan. 28 Last day for counties to mail Sample Ballot
Tue, Jan. 29 Last day to apply for absentee voter ballot by mail
Tue, Feb. 5

ELECTION DAY
   Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
   Go to Smart Voter to find your polling location and info about contests (as available)
